🍽️ Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream (warm)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: fresh chives or parsley for garnish

🥄 Instructions

1. Boil the Potatoes

  1. Add cubed potatoes to a large pot and cover with cold water.
  2. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil.
  3. Cook 15–20 minutes or until potatoes are fork-tender.

2. Drain & Mash

  1. Drain water and return potatoes to the warm pot.
  2. Mash using a potato masher or hand mixer until smooth.

3. Add the Cream & Butter

  1. Add softened butter, warm cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until creamy — adding more cream for extra fluffiness.

4. Serve Warm

  1. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with fresh chives or parsley.
